Chitooligosaccharides, prebiotics from the ocean

According to the fourth survey of Chinese residents’ nutrition and health surveys jointly released by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Bureau of Statistics, malnutrition caused by micro-ecological imbalance is becoming one of the biggest threats to public health in China.

According to the latest information from the World Health Organization: China has 120 million people with varying degrees of gastrointestinal disease. Studies have found that bowel cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. are all related to the imbalance of intestinal flora. Therefore, to improve the health of the human body, we must start from improving the micro-ecology of the intestines.

In December 2016, the International Probiotics and Prebiotics Science Association (ISAPP) issued a consensus statement that prebiotics are defined as substances that can be selectively utilized by the flora in the host and converted into beneficial host health. There are many kinds of prebiotics, which play an important role in human health, such as improving gastrointestinal function, improving immunity, improving cognition, mood, health care function of heart and brain blood vessels, and improving bone density.

The physiological function of prebiotics is mainly to promote the reproduction of beneficial bacteria in the intestine, proliferate beneficial bacteria in the body to reduce harmful bacteria, optimize the flora to balance the health of the human body, and oligosaccharides also have the function of dietary fiber, which can increase the water holding capacity of the stool. And capacity, which is easy to discharge, plays a role in the intestinal scavenger, regulates constipation and diarrhea in both directions, and can also absorb anions and bile acids in the intestine to effectively lower blood fat and cholesterol.

Chitosan oligosaccharide is a oligosaccharide with a degree of polymerization of less than 20, which is derived from abundant marine biological resources (shrimp and crab shell). It is a “positively charged natural active product” in nature, and is composed of amino groups. Glucose is formed by the linkage of β-1,4 glycosidic bonds.

1. Chitooligosaccharide is a prebiotic derived from the ocean with good water solubility and biological activity. Chitosan oligosaccharide has a positive charge that can interact with a negatively charged cell membrane, interfere with bacterial cell membrane function, cause bacterial death, and act as a beneficial bacteria for inhibiting harmful bacteria and proliferating bifidobacteria.

2, chitosan oligosaccharide is the only animal source dietary fiber, as a cationic animal fiber can promote intestinal peristalsis, clear the stool and toxins in the large intestine, so that the gastrointestinal function is effectively regulated.

3, chitosan oligosaccharide has a significant improvement on inflammatory bowel inflammation, can reduce the release of intestinal inflammatory factors, improve intestinal cell antioxidant
