What is Tetrandrine?
Tetrandrine powder (Tet), also known as Hanfangchin A, is derived from the dried root of the plant Stephania tetrandra S. Moore. It’s a bisbenzyl isoquinoline chemical, and it’s an alkaloid. It expells wind, eases pain, benefits water, and reduces swelling, according to the Compendium of Materia Medica.
Scientists discovered it had anti-inflammatory, analgesic, systolic, anti-silicosis, hypoglycemic, anti-free radical damage, anti-liver fibrosis, and other anti-tumor pharmacological actions as the modern medical study progressed.

Tetrandrine Manufacturing Process
- Extraction. After the powder anti-self, raw material is crushed to reach about 20 mesh, and it is taken three times with 95% ethanol thermal reflux. Finally, the extract is concentrated with an extract of 1.2 specific gravity.
