Chrysin Powder Extract is pale yellow powder(crystallized from methanol), m.p. 285 ° C. It is also named 5,7-dihydroxyflavone.The soluble alkali hydroxide solution, Chrysin Powder Extract slightly soluble in ether, ethanol, and chloroform, insoluble in water. Chrysin Powder Extract is extracted from bignoniaceae plants auch as the seeds and bark of Oroxylum indicum (L.)Vent., Pinus mon-ticola Dougl. P.aristata Engelm. Chrysin Powder Extract has toxic effects on certain cancer cells.

-Chrysin Powder Extract has antitumor activities, can suppress tumor cell multiplication and induce tumor cell apoptosis.

-Chrysin’s ability to estrogens has been demonstrated in the laboratory.

-Chrysin Powder Extract has the function of antioxidant activity, antiviral activity, antidiabetic action, reducing blood lipids, depressing blood pressure and preventing gene mutation.

Application:

-Synthesis of anti-cancer, lipid lowering and anti-cardio-cerebral vascular diseases, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory drugs, such as raw materials;
-Antioxidant activity, antiviral activity, antidiabetic action, reducing blood lipids, depressing blood pressure and preventing gene mutation. Chrysin has antitumor activities, can suppress tumor cell multiplication and induce tumor cell apoptosis. Chrysin may have aromatase-inhibitory action;
-Chrysin’s ability to inhibit the aromatization to estrogens has been demonstrated in the laboratory.
